The hotel group Pestana runs the hotel. Staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. Decor is old-timey but tasteful. Rooms are spacious but spare. Beds and pillows were comfy. We had a fine view of the cathedral. Bath was old fashioned with the shower in a claw tub. Good water pressure and water heated quickly. Nowhere to store toiletries except on the wide pedestal sink. Breakfast (included) was plentiful. Tables arranged around a cloistered courtyard with lime trees. Location was excellent, next to all the important sights.

Amazingly historic and elegant surroundings. The rooms were small, as might be expected for monastic cells, but comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the breakfasts and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect, walking distance for everything you would want to see in Évora and commanded a great view of the city.

The location is unbeatable. In the center of Evora next to restaurants and shops, the Roman ruins and the main cathedral. Staff were great. Enjoyed the fact that this hotel was an old convent / monastery so felt like we were stepping back in time… Very special for that reason. Breakfast was good. Parking available but we were there off season so had a space in their parking facility.

Amy

The location is phenomenal! I really enjoy the concept, and I absolutely loved the breakfast! It has a lot of local cheeses and meats, as well as fruits. We went in December, so it was quite cold, but when we entered the hotel, there was a sitting area by the fireplace which me and my partner really enjoyed sitting and having a drink.

Andrea

Nice room but we were surprise it was superior as most others we passed seemed the same. Only water on day one why when you pay the same rate per day. More than in Lisbon. Easy to walk from to town. Good breakfast. I was unwell with a bad throat and so the waiter got me hot water and lemon and honey. very kind.
